Introduction to the Wacom Cintiqs and Gateway Tablet PCs.
In the HRBB 229 computer lab, there are two kinds of computers that are available:
PCs with Wacom Cintiqs.
- Number Available: 6
- Description: These computers are PCs that have two monitors: a regular monitor and a pen-enabled monitor called a Wacom Cintiq. The Cintiq is the secondary monitor, and you will write on this monitor to input data. If you run the data collection program and it appears on the regular monitor, then drag the program right so it will appear on the Cintiq.
Gateway Tablet PCs.- Number Available: 9
- Description: These Tablet PCs are special laptops that can let you write on the screen. When you are running the data collection program, it's best to rotate the monitor so that it is flat like paper. There is a button on the monitor to rotate the screen, so that you can view the monitor correctly. The pens for these laptops are located on the front left, and you will need to push a switch to release the button. Since these pens are battery-powered, be sure to put it back in the laptop so that the battery can charge.
